Using clear oral communication strategies can help your WIC participants to better understand health information. Communicating clearly also helps them to feel more involved in the decisions they make about their own care plan and personal goal setting.  It may also increase the likelihood of them keeping their follow-up appointments. For more information about clear communication, check out the Key Communication Strategies job aid. 

Customers may only remember a portion of the information that you give them, but they are very likely to remember the tone of voice you used.
