American Diabetes Month

Diabetes and Pregnancy

American Diabetes Month takes place during the month of November. This month focuses on diabetes education and the risks of the disease. Gestational diabetes, which is diabetes during pregnancy, is a concern for the WIC population. Generally, eating a well-balanced diet and engaging in adequate physical activity are ways to prevent the disease. Refer to the resources below for more information about diabetes and gestational diabetes.
