Overview

This course provides continuing education and resources to assist WIC staff in providing high-quality, participant-focused WIC nutrition services. Topics include an introduction to VENA, critical thinking, and health-outcome based assessment. 

Objectives

After completing this course, you should be able to:

• Provide an overview of VENA.
• Describe the WIC nutrition services process.
• Explain the anticipated result of incorporating VENA for staff and participants, along with how to use these results.
• Identify the health outcome approach and your use of critical thinking as skills key to the completion of VENA.
