Provides the complete report as well as a number action guides that summarize some of the key findings from The Surgeon General’s Call to Action to Support Breastfeeding and provide action steps for the various sectors that can have an impact on breastfeeding, including public health professionals, nurses, doctors, health care leaders, communities and researchers.

Additional resources include a five-year progress update and a fact sheet that provides information on the health and economic benefits of breastfeeding, obstacles to breastfeeding, and what the health care community, employers, community leaders, policy makers, and families and friends of mothers can do remove some of the obstacles.
