Promoting and Supporting Breastfeeding in WIC

Providing anticipatory guidance (giving mothers a heads-up with the right words and timing) on what to expect when she starts breastfeeding can make all the difference in whether a mother will give breastfeeding a try. This job aid supports content in the WIC Learning Online course, Breastfeeding Basics, and provides details on addressing breastfeeding during the various WIC prenatal visits.

This site, part of USDA's new national breastfeeding campaign, WIC Breastfeeding Support Learn Together. Grow Together, also contains many downloadable resources and materials for WIC State and local agencies to share with participants and external partners. These include:
