WIC Learning Online (WLOL) - Getting Started

Nutrition Education

Welcome to WIC Learning Online

Before getting started with a WIC Learning Online (WLOL) course, check out some helpful information and tips below to ensure a smooth experience.

WLOL is available on the Skillport learning management system (LMS), and the TRAIN Learning Network for WIC State agencies who are part of this LMS.  For information about TRAIN, please contact your State agency TRAIN Administrator.

To allow you to stop mid-course and pick up where you left off, WLOL registration requires you to create an account. Once you register, you should receive an email within 24 - 48 hours, which will include additional instructions. If you don't, please check your Spam or Junk email folders.

Forgotten User ID or Password

Use the Forgot your UserID? or Forgot your password? links on the Skillport site to request another email, reset your password or verify whether you entered your email correctly when you registered.  Please note, before approval, accounts will display as Deactivated.

Disabled Accounts

For Skillport users, if you haven't logged into WLOL for two or more years, please register for a new account by clicking on the Register link.  If you are unable to create a new account or have other questions, please contact the WIC Works team.

Operating Systems and Browser Settings

WLOL courses within both Skillsoft and TRAIN are only supported using the Windows operating system, and work best using the latest version of Microsoft Edge. If you're using a Mac or Google Chrome computer, please attempt to complete the courses using a Windows machine.

Please follow the steps outlined on the Configuring Your Browser page before starting a course. If your browser doesn’t allow pop-ups, some courses will not complete successfully because exam questions will be blocked. Some security and privacy settings may be disabled by your IT Administrator, so if needed, please work with them to ensure your configuration settings match those recommended by the LMS.

If you are having trouble with a course, please visit Skillsoft's Knowledge Base or contact their Support team
