Snapshot - Food Packages for Women, Infants and Children

This page and chart provide information related to the unrevised WIC food packages.

Visit the Revised WIC Food Packages page for information related to the revised (2024) WIC Food Packages.

Benefit Amounts for FY 2024:

$26 for children,
$47 for pregnant and postpartum participants, and
$52 for fully and partially breastfeeding participants

The snapshot below shows the maximum monthly allowances (MMA) of supplemental foods for children and women, and reflects the fiscal year 2019 increase for the cash-value voucher for children ages one through four years old. These amounts may be adjusted down for an individual participant based on a participant's nutrition needs determined from the nutrition and breastfeeding assessment, and in accordance with WIC regulations, WIC Food Package Guidance, and WIC Breastfeeding Policy & Guidance.

Need inspiration to help your participants make the most of their food packages? Check out recipes from the WIC community that we’ve collected and compiled as part of the WIC Meals of the Month (MOM) series. WIC MOM features recipes with a focus on specific nutrients.

Need education resources for these nutrients? We’ve compiled those too in our Eye on Nutrition series!
