Online Nutrition Courses

Sources of Online Training for CEUs

The SNAP-Ed Collection Training site offers a list of online courses available that cover food, nutrition, and activity. These training opportunities include:

  • Food $ense, a national nutrition certification program meant to increase nutrition knowledge, improve teaching techniques and abilities as well as increase job satisfaction for the educator and lower programming costs related to training.
     
  • Early Childhood Physical Activity for Toddlers and Preschoolers, a one-hour, interactive web-based training designed to explore how young children benefit from structured physical activities and develop a wide range of movement skills through active play. This training is available in various languages.
     
  • EatSmart Lessons, a training organized into six sections: Basic Nutrition, The Nutrients, Stretching Your Food Dollars, Nutrition & Chronic Disease, Nutrition & the Life Cycle and Food Safety. Each lesson includes pre and post-tests.
