Each April, the Office of Minority Health (OMH) partners with federal, state, local, tribal, and territorial groups by asking for a renewed commitment to raise awareness of the health disparities that affect racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic groups. For the second year in a row, OMH has teamed up with the Office of Disease Prevention and Health Promotion (ODPHP) Move Your Way campaign to emphasize the health advantages of an active lifestyle.

Among the resources you can use with your WIC participants to educate on and promote physical activity and help them add or increase the physical activity in their lives is the National Minority Health Month Toolkit that provides resources in English and Spanish, as well as Move Your Way campaign resources (many of which are also available in Spanish):
