It's not too late to get your flu vaccination!

December 1 – 7, 2019 is National Influenza Vaccination Week, an excellent opportunity to encourage all WIC participants 6 months and older, and staff, to get their flu vaccine. The flu can cause mild to severe illness, but can also cause complications, some of which can be life-threatening. Getting the flu vaccine is the most important step to protecting against the flu, especially for:

As part of NIVW, CDC is hosting an interactive, streaming webinar on December 3, 2019 at 2:30 pm ET. During the webinar, the public will have the opportunity to engage directly with a CDC subject matter expert and ask questions about flu and flu vaccine. It will also provide an overview of flu vaccine benefits and why flu is so dangerous.
