Peanut Butter Frozen Yogurt

Peanut butter frozen yogurt

Yield amount

4 servings

Preparation time

5 minutes

Looking for a sweet treat that won’t break the sugar bank? Try this simple make-at-home frozen yogurt you can assemble in 5 minutes with only 4 ingredients. Use natural peanut butter with no added sugar for an (added) sugar-free indulgence that offers a good dose of calcium, protein, and magnesium (and vitamin D if your yogurt is fortified with this nutrient). Why not feel good about indulging your sweet tooth!

Up the nutrient ante - mix in a mashed banana before freezing, or set up a sundae bar with bananas, strawberries, cherries, and other fruits and nuts.

You can also add in cocoa powder for a chocolatey twist.

Ingredients

2 cups plain low-fat or non-fat yogurt
1⁄2 cup peanut butter
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1⁄8 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Wash hands before getting started.
  2. In a medium mixing bowl, add the yogurt, peanut butter, vanilla extract, and salt. Mix until well combined.
  3. Cover, or place in a container with a lid. Place in the freezer for at least 3 hours, or until completely frozen.

Serve and Enjoy!
