Make eating healthy foods fun for kids by putting them on a stick! This classic combination is not only fun to prepare and eat, but nutritious as well, providing vitamins C and B12, fiber, calcium, and protein.
Mix and match the veggies and protein for extra variety and to personalize to your taste - You can even add fruit! Strawberries, bell peppers, or cucumbers give an added extra crunch and flavor (and go well with balsamic vinegar).
Get kids involved in preparing these easy-to-make snacks. If serving to younger children, you can make them even more kid-friendly by using sticks with a semi-pointed end (which has no sharp point), or cut off the pointed end of a wooden stick before serving.
